Radial Progress Ring
A circular progress ring that sweeps up to a slider-set percentage automatically.
Expression Code
// Radial Progress Ring// Apply to Trim Paths End on a circle shape layer// Add a Slider Control named "Percent" to this layerpct = effect("Percent")("Slider"); // Target percentage, 0-100duration = 1.2; // Seconds to sweep up from zerodelay = 0; // Wait in seconds before the sweep startst = Math.max(time - inPoint - delay, 0);if (duration <= 0) {eased = 1;} else {p = Math.min(t / duration, 1);eased = 1 - Math.pow(1 - p, 3); // Cubic ease-out sweep}clamp(pct * eased, 0, 100);
Create a shape layer with an Ellipse and a Stroke (no Fill), then add Trim Paths from the Add menu on the shape group. Add a Slider Control named "Percent" to the layer and set it to your target value, e.g. 72. Alt/Option-click the Trim Paths End stopwatch and paste. The ring sweeps from 0 up to the target over the duration — no keyframes needed. AE ellipses trim from the top (12 o'clock) going clockwise, so no rotation is needed; paths pasted in from Illustrator start at 3 o'clock instead — rotate those -90° to start from the top.
